Hello dancers! 

 

Wow, Sunflower Swing was fantastic!  Thank you to those who attended, volunteered, and opened their homes to make this one of the best yet.  A special thank you to my fellow board members Megan Pfeiffer, Evan Borst, Sonya Atencio, Corina Tillman, Chelsea Rothschild, and Marshall Warren for their hard work to make it successful.  

 

Interested in being on the board?  The WSDS 2012-2013 board elections will take place on July 29^th.  See the requirement in the election packet attached to this email.  Your self-nomination form with contact information, photo and election speech stating what the nominee has to offer the society must be submitted to the front table or emailed to Sylvia Dalton by July 15, 2012.  The election ballot of candidates will be published by July 22, 2012.  The election will take place at our board meeting July 29, 2012 at 6:30 PM.

 

This Sunday is the start of our series classes of Beginning Lindy Hop and Intermediate Lindy Hop.  You might want to get to the studio a few minutes early to beat the rush.  Drop in on the East Coast Swing class at 7:30 PM before the dance starts at 8 PM.

Hello dancers! 

 

After all the discussion about Sunflower Swing, the party starts tomorrow.  Don't miss the fun as we celebrate our 12^th anniversary.  Instructors are arriving and excitement is in the air.  The board is confident this is going to be a fantastic weekend.

Hello dancers! 

 

It is great to be back at the studio.  Thank you for another success evening of dancing.

 

This Sunday at 7:30 PM we will offer Beginning East Coast Swing lesson upstairs and Beginning West Coast Swing lesson downstairs with Harry and Amy Reese. 

 

Sunflower Swing is just over a week away June 22-24, 2012 www.sunflowerswing.com.   Join the fun and make this the best anniversary to date.  For those of you that are unable to attend the entire event there is a la carte pricing available.

Being back at the studio and Soul Night was fantastic.  Thank you for coming out and making it a great success.

 

This Sunday at 7:30 PM we will offer Beginning East Coast Swing lesson upstairs and Beginning West Coast Swing lesson downstairs with Harry and Amy Reese. 

 

Sunflower Swing is 15 days away, June 22-24, 2012 www.sunflowerswing.com. The count down to a phenomenal celebration has started.  We would like you to join the fun and make this the best anniversary to date.  For those of you that are unable to attend the entire event there is a la carte pricing available.

WSDS Weekly 6/1/12

Hello dancers! 

 

Thank you to everyone who came out to dance Sunday.  We are ecstatic about being back at Harry Reese Dance Studio this Sunday, June 3^rd.  Celebrating our return to the studio it is Soul Night.  

 

June series classes start at 6:30 PM with Blues and Beginning Lindy Hop.  As a reminder, if you take a series class you only pay $20/$30 at the beginning of the month and it gets you into the all of the Swinging Sunday events.  At 7:30 PM we will offer Beginning East Coast Swing lessons. 

 

Sunflower Swing is WSDS's 12^th anniversary.  To celebrate we have four great instructors with four hours of workshops Saturday and Sunday.  Social dancing starts Friday night from 8 PM to 3 AM, on Saturday 8 PM to Midnight, Midnight to 3 AM enjoy the band: Jenny Wood and the Watchers.  Sunday is the close to the special weekend with our weekly dance from 8-10 PM.

 

For those of you that are unable to attend the entire event there is a la carte pricing available.  Housing and volunteering opportunities are also available.  Mark your calendar for June 22-24, 2012 www.sunflowerswing.com.  Click the Register tab to order your t-shirt.
