Wichita Swing Dance Society Time Change Starting Tonight

This is a quick note for those that do not follow us on Facebook.

All our classes now run concurrently starting at 6 PM.  Social dancing runs from 6-9.  Don't be late!

The Intro to Swing class is now an hour!  The two series classes are Core Lindy Hop (suitable for beginners, but also a good refresher for others) and Tranky Doo (a vintage line dance).

The Intro to Swing class is included in admission to the dance:  $6 non-members, $4 members.  Series classes enroll on a monthly basis: $30 non-members, $20 members; this includes the class and social dance for the month of March.

We don't normally communicate by email anymore.  The best way to find out what's going on with the Wichita Swing Dance Society is on Facebook!

Wichita Swing Dance Weekly

This Month's Classes: Routine taught by Brandon and Megan Intro to Swing   7:30-8:00 Taught by a lovely variety of teachers. All month! There will be additional teachers substituting. Next Month's Classes: Beginning Lindy Hop Upcoming Events: May 1st is Dance Card Sunday May 29th is Soul Night and the Birthday Jam Extra Extra! We want to hear what you think. If you have an idea let us know. Got a concern on your mind, lay it on us. We want your experience to be fun and worry free. Inspiration Another from Lindy Hoppers Dozen perform at ILHC. Enjoy their crisp piece, full of syncopation and musicality.   Travel Opportunities: If you're looking to meet more dancers and skyrocket your skills, there's no better way than to hop in the car and find a weekend workshop.     Greenwood Swingout in Tulsa Ok, May 26th-30th. Not only will they have fabulous instruction but they are one of the most welcoming events that I have ever been to. A crew of Wichitans has already committed.  Bluebonnet Bash in Dallas TX, June 3-6th. You can catch Nathan Bugh again along with other fabulous instructors. A sizable group of Wichitans are going.  Lindy on the Rocks in Denver CO, August 5-7th. Eight top instructors, fabulous live music, and hundreds of people to  dance with! Be there! A few of your favorite Wichita dancers will be there for sure. WSDS was invited to dance at the Ice Cream Social by the Wichita - Sedgwick County Historical Museum. We had a blast! I love the anticipation that they create between each other and the audience.
