WSDS Weekly 4/26/12

Hello dancers! 

 

Thank you for all those who attended last week.  We had a full house.  We will continue this week at Morning Star Community Church located at 11010 E Kellogg Drive, Wichita, KS 67207. 

 

It is a normal Sunday with the Series classes meeting at 6:30 PM.  The ECS drop in class at 7:30 PM and the membership meeting simultaneously at 7:30 PM.  Celebrate April birthdays with a dance jam. The Solo Jazz Dance competition is during the 8-10 PM dance.  Only $5 to enter with limited space.  The first place winner gets free admission to Swinging Sunday's in May. 

 

The repair and renovations to Harry Reese Dance Studio are moving along swiftly.  We anticipate being back at the studio as of Sunday, May 6^th.  If anything changes, we will communicate via several sources: email, Facebook and the WSDS website.

 

Sunflower Swing is June 22-24, 2012. Tickets are on sale at www.sunflowerswing.com.

WSDS Weekly 4/17/12

Hello dancers! 

 

Thank you for understanding our circumstances for cancelling last Sunday. Harry Reese Dance Studio was damaged in the tornado.  Thank you to all of those who helped in the initial clean up process.  They are actively repairing the facility.  Meanwhile, we will be changing the venue for WSDS for the next two weeks. 

 

The next two Sunday's we'll meet at Morning Star Community Church located at 11010 E Kellogg Drive, Wichita, KS 67207. 

 

Update: Those who have paid for series classes in April will meet at 6:30 PM.  Those taking the Charleston series class you will meet on the 29^th to ensure four weeks of class.  The drop in lesson for East Coast will start at 7:30 PM.  We are going to postpone having the dual lesson and dance in West coast until we are back in our regular location.

 

We are making a few adjustments on April 29^th to fit all of the events.  The membership meeting will now start at 7:30 PM.  Celebrate April birthdays with a dance jam.  There is only a short time to consider entering the Solo Jazz Dance competition on April 29^th.  It is $5 to enter with limited space.  The first place winner gets free admission to Swinging Sunday's in May.

WSDS 4\14\12 is CANCELLED

Hello Dancers!

The Harry Reese Dance Studio took on damage in the storm last night. We will not be dancing this evening due to the damage.  We will keep you posted.  If you are interested in helping Harry do some clean up work please give me a call.  316-841-8272.

Hello dancers! 

 

Thank you for another wonderful evening of dancing.

 

As always, upstairs from 7:30-8 PM is an East Coast Swing drop in class and dance from 8-10 PM.  There is also a drop in West Coast Swing class at from 7:30-8 PM downstairs taught by Hall of Famer, Harry Reese. Practice what you learned as WCS music is emphasized downstairs from 8-10 PM.

 

April 29^th is teeming with events.  The membership meeting will start at 6:30 PM downstairs.  Then celebrating April birthdays with a dance jam.  Followed by a possibility to show off you in the Solo Jazz Dance competition.

Thanks for coming out to be dancing fools with the Cessna Jazz Band last Sunday.

 

Finish your Easter with us at Swinging Sunday's. Sunday you have a couple of options. There is a drop in West Coast Swing class at from 7:30-8 PM downstairs taught by Hall of Famer, Harry Reese.  From 8-10 PM practice what you learned as WCS music is emphasized.  Upstairs it is business as usual with the East Coast Swing drop in class at 7:30-8 PM and the dance from 8-10 PM.
