WSDS Weekly 4/26/13

Hello dancers! 

 

Thank you for making our R&B night a success.  Join us this Sunday at 7:30 PM for the ECS drop in class and open dancing from 8:00-10:00 PM.  

 

On May 5^th we start our series classes and the Lindy Bombers will be performing.  May 12^th will be our competition evening, featuring a Jack and Jill competition.  Consider entering the competition, it is free and open to everyone.  May 26^th will be our dual dance floor opportunity with Blues music as our theme.

 

Sunflower Swing 2013 is three nights of dancing, classes with Peter Strom, Sylvia Sykes, Michael Seguin, and Nina Gilkenson! June 7-9, 2013. Register online at www.sunflowerswing.com or register on Sunday evening.  

 

Support Sunflower Swing by offering your home for an out of town dancer to sleep or by offering your time to volunteer.  Send an email to sunflowerswing@gmail.com if this interests you.

WSDS Weekly 4/4/13

Hello dancers! 

 

April is brimming with exciting opportunities to dance.  This Sunday starts our series classes of Beginning Lindy Hop and Partner Charleston starting at 6:30 PM.  In addition to our series classes, this Sunday is our one-week intensive Boot Camp of Intermediate East Coast Swing lesson at 6:30 PM located upstairs. Join us at 7:30 PM for the drop in lesson of East Coast Swing and open dancing from 8-10 PM.

 

Mark your calendar for these exhilarating opportunities in April.  Swing Session II with WSU Jazz Arts on April 10^th located at WSU Duerksen Fine Arts Center in room C107. The event goes from 7:30-9:00 PM. We are announcing another silly dance contest on April 14^th that has to do with Taxes.  Join us for our first R&B theme night on April 21^st.  No month would be complete without our traditional birthday jam on April 28^th.
