Wichita Swing Dance Weekly

This Month's Classes: Beginning Lindy Hop taught by Amy & Isaiah 6:30-7:30  Intro to Swing 7:30-8:00 Taught by a lovely variety of teachers.  There will be additional teachers substituting. Next Month's Classes: TBA Upcoming Events: October 4th is Dance Card Sunday. October 25th is the Halloween Party and the Birthday Jam Extra Extra! We want to hear what you think. If you have an idea let us know. Got a concern on your mind, lay it on us. We want your experience to be fun and worry free. Homework If you haven't seen this yet, you should check it out. It is 20 minutes of fun dancing, sure to put a smile on your face. My favorite part comes at around 9:30, when the dancer slides across the floor. I love his musicality. This happens at the Montreal Swing Riot and is called the Invitational Battle Vintage vs Modern Street Dancers. Which brings together swing, jazz, soul, funk and break beats.   Travel Opportunities: If you're looking to meet more dancers and skyrocket your skills, there's no better way than to hop in the car and find a weekend workshop.               Austin Lindy Exchange in Austin, TX. November 20-22. If you love dancing to live music, this is the event to go to! Fabulous dancers and more live music than you can shake a stick at. Lindyfest  in Houston, TX. March 24th-27th is a HUGE event and oodles of fun. World class instruction, fantastic live bands and a whole bunch of fun competitions to watch mixed in. Worth TX for a dance workshop. Last year we had a group go down too. Who wants to go? Well, the month of October is your chance. We will offer an hour long class each week at 6:30. Join us to learn an incredibly fun dance. If you have already taken the class, feel free to repeat it to solidify the movements or take it as the opposite part for fun. Now, check out this video of The Swinging Air force Squad. What a dynamic routine! This Sunday is the last Charleston class so make sure you catch it.
