Hello dancers! Thanks to everyone who came out to make Soul Night an awesome evening. If you missed it, you missed out.
As promised last week, your board met, and we'll be having a membership meeting March 21st, at 7 PM in the basement. We need current members to be there, as we have issues to discuss. Everything from a normal Sunday night to your favorite events like the Christmas Party, the Sockhop, the Anniversary, or your favorite live band night will be affected, so please make every effort to be there. It just so happens to be member appreciation night, so as a member you'll get in free! In advance we thank you for making the time to be there.

March 21st - It's a big night for our members, first a very important meeting for all members at 7 PM in the basement, then a great evening with the dance man Ronnie Choy! And for you very special members, it's all free! Everyone else will be paying $6 that evening.
July 16-18 is Sunflower Swing! It's our deluxe dance weekend to celebrate turning 10 years old! Check www.wichitaswingdance.com on a regular basis, registration will be open soon and the sooner you register the cheaper it is!

February 25th Weekly Update
Hello dancers! Great couple weeks at the Shadow, be looking in the email for your opportunities to check it out in March!
Your board meets this Tuesday and will be discussing some issues critical to the immediate and long-term future of the society. Consequently, we'll be holding a membership meeting later this month. Be watching this email and the front table on Sunday nights for details. We will want your input, as the changes we face impact you the membership directly. I can't stress how important this is to you, and how much we need you to be in attendance. Expect a meeting at 7 PM on a Sunday night in the basement, we'll have the date for you soon.

These emails are available in our blog on the site, no need to clog your inbox. Upcoming events are in our interactive calendar, and our photo gallery is new and improved! Saturday head out to the Moose to hear our favorite DJ, Ronnie Choy! He'll be spinning tunes from 8-11 PM, and if you're a member at the moose it's only $5. Otherwise a mere $8 gets you into the dance to enjoy their large, smoke free dance floor. Don't miss out!
Sunday we have a special event at the studio. Upstairs nothing will be different, but in the basement the fun begins at 8, because it is SOUL NIGHT! That's right, Otis, Marvin, Bill, Sam, Dave, and the other Sam will all be there to get you dancing. It's a magical evening that doesn't come around often, don't miss out......

Hello dancers! I hope you're all ready to get some dancing in! There's a lot on the plate this week. Check out the This Week section below.
A bit of housecleaning before that:
1) while you're out surfing the web, be sure to check out our site, www.wichitaswingdance.com You can find an interactive calendar of events (with flyers), a blog of these emails (because I know you can't read enough), and our newly redone photo gallery (see how good you look?). We've been working hard to improve it, and we're excited to share it with you. Also, we'd love your pictures to include, so send them in!
2) To offset our rising costs we're changing the price structure March 21st. If you're a member (we treasure you very much) then nothing changes for you. A bit of housecleaning before that:
1) while you're out surfing the web, be sure to check out our site, www.wichitaswingdance.com You can find an interactive calendar of events (with flyers), a blog of these emails (because I know you can't read enough), and our newly redone photo gallery (see how good you look?). We've been working hard to improve it, and we're excited to share it with you. Also, we'd love your pictures to include, so send them in!

Hello dancers! Thanks to everyone who was at the Shadow last Tuesday, you made it a great night. If you weren't there you owe it to yourself to make it out in February....

THIS WEEK
Saturday is a chance to add to your dancing! The Lindy Bomber workshop is from 10 AM to 1 PM, with a class in balboa moves, followed by two classes in collegiate shag! It's at the studio, and classes are $7 each or $15 for all 3. Don't know what shag is? The video clip of the week might be useful to you.....
Sunday is our monthly Birthday Jam! If you celebrate your birth in the earliest month of the year be sure to come out and let us celebrate the best way we know: dance!
