Hello swing dancers!  We're back this week!  After a rare one week hiatus we are back this week and we are bringing you some awesome dancing.  A few quick notes for you:

 

1) Saturday is a fundraiser to send the Lindy Bombers to Iowa!  We're teaching the Big Apple from 1-4 PM at Harry's!  If you like the Shim Sham you'll love the Big Apple.  The entire thing is $15, and yes, we'll cover the whole Big Apple.  Check out the video clip of the week to see what I'm talking about....

 

2) Sunday not only are we back, but it's a dance card Sunday!

 

3) We're working to revamp our online presence, don't miss out.

Hello dancers!  A few quick announcements for you:

 

1) THERE WILL BE NO SWINGIN' SUNDAYS THIS WEEK ON ACCOUNT OF THE GAME.  I REPEAT, NO DANCING ON FEBRUARY 6TH

 

2) We're working to improve our online presence, and we want you to be part of it!  Check out our website:

3) Wichita is being represted at the heartland swing festival this March by the Lindy Bombers.  We'll be competing in multiple contests as a team, couples, and individuals.  We could use your help to get there and we're willing to give you something in return:

 

Saturday February 12 at Harry's from 1-4 PM we're teaching the Big Apple!  For just $15 you can learn a solo jazz routine we love, and have a ton of fun!  It's a fundraiser to help send us to Iowa, so please show your support while you learn a new dance!

 

4) Thanks to everyone who voted for our representatives in the Miss Heartland Pinup Contest!  One of our representatives, Chelsea Rothschild, made the final 12!  Wish her luck as she goes on to attempt to win the inaugural Miss Heartland crown!

Hello dancers!  It's a special message Monday because I have a favor to ask you.

 

I mentioned last night that the Lindy Bombers are competing in March at the Heartland Swing Festival.  We'll compete as a team and as individuals and couples in multiple contests while we are there.  In addtion to that though, a few of the team members are competing for the chance to be Miss Heartland.  It's a pin-up contest they're hosting, and they do online voting.

 

What do we need from you?  Vote for our representatives!  Ellen Borst, Chelsea Rothschild, and Corina Tillman would all love your vote.  Follow the link below, you can vote for 6 to 12 people, so have some fun while you help support our local dancers!

We'll be sure to put up a cancellation notice there if it should happen.  I must warn you though, we have a rivalry with the postal service over who takes more days off, and it's neck and neck.....

 

I'll take a quick second to point out to you that the Lindy Bomber's dance team is holding open tryouts on March 7th.  We perform, teach, and compete, and we're looking for you!  Tryouts will be held after the weekly Lindy Bomber's classes at 8:30, check out www.lindybombers.com for details.

Swingin' Sunday will feature another great night of Partner Charleston and East Coast Swing lessons, so show up early and add a little bit to your dancing.  I promise something new and exciting for the advanced east coast class....
