Hello dancers! Another great night at the Shadow this past Tuesday. You really need to come out and enjoy our free mid-week dance opportunity! Look at the extra events section for dates.

Wanted to remind you once more of two important things to you:

1) Membership meeting on March 21st, 7 PM in the basement of the studio. We'll be discussing issues facing the club affecting everything from a normal Sunday to our biggest events. Please come out and give us your opinions, the board is looking for guidance from the membership. Members get in free that night, so no excuses!

2) Visit our website! www.wichitaswingdance.com features a calendar of upcoming events, a blog, an improved photo gallery, and info on the upcoming Sunflower Swing!

THIS WEEK
Saturday is the Underground from 7 PM - 11 PM in the studio basement. Use the west door, and head down for games, relaxing, dancing, and open mike night. Cover is $2

BIG EVENTS
March 21st - It's a big night for our members, first a very important meeting for all members at 7 PM in the basement, then a great evening with the dance man Ronnie Choy! And for you very special members, it's all free! Everyone else will be paying $6 that evening.

July 16-18 is Sunflower Swing! It's our deluxe dance weekend to celebrate turning 10 years old! Check www.wichitaswingdance.com on a regular basis, registration will be open soon and the sooner you register the cheaper it is!

This month we're teaching you one of our favorite line dances: Shim Sham! Join in the fun each week by learning this one.

WORKSHOPS
A little extra notice for a big workshop....

April 24th is Swing on This! A full day of workshops with Oscar Hampton from KC and Evan Borst from the 'Ta plus a full night of dancing. Check out the attached flyer for details.

LIVE BANDS
April 18 - It's a wait that will definitely be worth it, as we bring in Cool Blue! Plus, it'll be a deluxe night with three hours of live music! That means the band starts early so don't be late....

May 1st - It's a Benny Goodman tribute with Dave Bennett! Check out the attachment, tickets are on sale now, and there will be dancing!

TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES
This weekend is Lindyfest in Houston, and Wichita is representing with double digits! If you couldn't make it, check out these opportunities to experience Swing across the country!

EXTRA EVENTS
March 23rd Swing Night at the Shadow!

March 27th - Black and White Party at Old Town Ballroom, 7:30-10:00 PM, a variey of music will be played, a dance lesson will be held, and refreshments are provided, yours for only $10!

March 27th - if you will be near KC check out the Grand Marquis and Red Lefty playing at Jackpot Music hall, music starts at 9 PM, $6 cover!
