Hello dancers! Just to update you last weekend was The Rhythm is Jumpin' in Kansas City, and your town was well represented! In addition to having a dozen dancers travel to the event, we were active in competition as well.
Wichita dancers competed in the Open Jack & Jill, Slow Jack & Jill, Showcase, and Team divisions!
Jeremiah Slattery placed 2nd in the Open Jack & Jill!
Chelsea Rothschild and Alaynna L. placed 3rd in the Showcase!
The Lindy Bombers (Evan Borst, Ellen Borst, Jeremiah Slattery, Corina Tillman, Chelsea Rothschild, and Phil Wiemeyer) took 1st in the Team Division!
That's a lot of results to be proud of, so please congratulate them when you see them!
I also want to point out that Sunflower Swing starts a week from Friday with a dance at the Care to Dance Studio! Check out www.sunflowerswing.com to see everything going on! We have people registered from Missouri, Nebraska, Texas, Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, and of course Kansas! Don't miss out on what is sure to be a great party! You can still register this Sunday.

July 16 come out and see the Grand Marquis from Kansas City! They'll be swinging the studio starting at 8 PM! Plus there'll be other festivities for Sunflower Swing that evening. All of it can be yours for just $10 at the door, or head to www.sunflowerswing.com to get a pass....
July 17 come back to the studio to see Pivot Point! This is their third time playing for us and it's bound to be the best yet. Music starts at 7 PM, $8 for everybody.
August 21st the Benders the Benders the Benders are coming to the studio! Come see this high energy band and let your feet thank you later....

The Grand Marquis, Pivot Point, and regional DJ's will keep you dancing for 3 nights while our instructors from Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis and Chicago will make your feet move during 2 days of workshops. We're inviting all our friends from out of town so come out and show them how we do things in the ICT!
