Hi-de-ho dancers!
We have a weekend full of dancing for you. What a fantastic way to start off the holiday season!
Saturday, December 3rd is a workshop featuring Balboa dancing from 2-4 pm at Harry Reese Dance Studio. Balboa is a fast dance that won't leave you breathing hard! Focusing on fun footwork you'll love integrating this into your normal dance repertoire. All levels are welcome no partner is required.
Sunday, December 4th Goodwill Industries has asked us to share our gift of dancing at their annual fundraiser Festival of Trees at Century II from 1-2 pm. Admission is free for dancers and a guest. Additional guests cost $5. Enter at the northeast side of the building; it has a Festival of Trees banner. Inform those taking tickets you are a performer with the Wichita Swing Dance Society. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to check-in upstairs in the balcony.
Sunday, December 4th is our Christmas Party.
6:30 – 7 pm - Beginning East Coast Swing
7-10 pm – Dancing
You are encouraged to dress up and bring snacks to share. As a gift to our members the event is free. It is $10 for non-members.
Providing music is Nouveau Quintette. In addition to 3 hours of live music the evening will feature performances by Shiny Stockings and Hot Rhythm Revival.
During the evening there will be a silent auction. Please bring money for bidding. The fundraiser is to make Sunflower Swing a better event. We currently have donations of dance lessons from several instructors, a set of Blues Ball tickets, jewelry, handcrafted clocks, wine, and handmade hats, scarfs, bags and various desserts. We are accepting donations for the auction and appreciate your participation at the event.

DATES and DETAILS
December 3rd – is the Balboa Workshop from 2-4 pm at Harry Reese Dance Studio.
December 4th - Festival of Trees for Goodwill located at Century II. It last an hour and starts at 1pm.
December 4th our annual Christmas Party is free to members and $10 for non-members.
December 25th – Closed for Christmas.
January 1st – We are open!
January 29th – WSDS membership Meeting at 6:30 pm in basement.
January 29th – Soul Night with the band The Watchers.
OTHER CLASSES
Monday nights the Lindy Bombers meet at Morningstar Community Church with classes for intermediate and advanced levels. Class starts at 7:30, taster class at 8:30. Check out www.lindybombers.com for details!
