WSDS Weekly 3/15/12

Hello dancers! 

 

Thank you for yet another great night of dancing.  Concessions are now available on Sunday's, so bring a few extra bucks.  All proceeds go towards Sunflower Swing.

 

April has lots of wonderful opportunities to get you excited to dance.

 

April dancing fool's day workshop is Sunday, April 1^st from 1-5 PM at Morning Star Community Church. Continue your April fool's day dancing at Swinging Sunday's with the Cessna Jazz Band from 8-10 PM.

 

On April 8^th through April 29^th Swinging Sunday's is going to try something new. We will play music in the basement that emphasizes West Coast swing dancing from 8-10 PM. No additional costs but two options to dance.  Support this trial basis if you would like to make it a successful possibility for the future.    

 

We are bringing in fantastic instructors like Dan Newsome & Gabby Cook.  Take a look at the YouTube link below to see them teach Partner Charleston (Partner Charleston series class offered in April). March 18^th – WSDS Swinging Sunday.

March 25^th – WSDS Swinging Sunday – Birthday jam.

April 1^st – April dancing fool's day workshop. 1-5 PM at Morning Star Community Church.  Cost is $30 in advance and $40 at the door.

April 1^st – WSDS Swinging Sunday's with the Cessna Jazz Band from 8-10 PM and Dance Card Sunday. 

April 8^th – WSDS Swinging Sunday.

April 15^th – WSDS Swinging Sunday.

April 22^nd  – WSDS Swinging Sunday.

April 29^th – Membership meeting, WSDS Swinging Sunday,

    Solo Jazz Dance competition and Birthday jam.

June 22^nd – 24^th  – is Sunflower Swing 2012.

 

OTHER CLASSES

Monday nights the Lindy Bombers meet at Morningstar Community Church with classes for intermediate and advanced levels.   Class starts at 7:30, taster class at 8:30.  Check out www.lindybombers.com for details!
