Wichita Swing Dance Weekly

This Month's Classes: Beginning Lindy Hop taught by Brandon and Megan Intermediate Lindy Hop taught by Evan and Amy  Intro to Swing 7:30-8:00  There will be additional teachers substituting. Next Month's Classes: To be determined.  Upcoming Events: May 10th- Mothers get in FREE!!! May 31st is the birthday jam and our very own Swinging Prom    Extra Extra! We want to hear what you think. If you have an idea let us know. Got a concern on your mind, lay it on us. We want your experience to be fun and worry free. Homework  Jamin Jackson is full of inventive and fun moves that keep you on your toes. Literally! He even surprises Tatiana Udry here a few times in a most delightful way. See if you can catch his hand clap behind her back. Jamin will be teaching with the ever so amazing Annie Trudeau in his home town of Tulsa, OK in a couple of weeks. Check out Greenwood Swingout for the details and make sure that you go!  Travel Opportunities: If you're looking to meet more dancers and skyrocket your skills, there's no better way than to hop in the car and find a weekend workshop.   Greenwood Swingout in Tulsa OK, May 22nd-24th. A guaranteed fun time! You can expect a great turnout from our group.  Blue Bonnet Bash in Dallas TX, June 5th-7th. 100 years of Jazz in Kansas City, June 18th-21st Lindy on the Rocks in Denver Co, July 30th-Aug 2nd. We may even have a group of dancers going to this. They have a long list of fantastic teachers and live bands. Favorite music This week's song is a video of Slim Gaillard and his trio sing a silly song about food. I bet you will chuckle at least once. Vintage Clips:  Ok dancers, this is really neat. There are a lot of artists in this long patched together clip. There is some AWESOME dancing towards the beginning and the rest is some fabulous music. It is well worth your time.    Have you wanted to get more involved in our swing dance community?
