Wichita Swing Dance Weekly

This Month's Classes: The Key to Unlocking Your Own Moves taught by Brandon & Megan 6:30-7:30  Intro to Swing 7:30-8:00 Taught by a lovely variety of teachers.  There will be additional teachers substituting. Next Month's Classes: Tranky Do, a line dance done across the world by lovers of swing.  Upcoming Events: December 6th is Dance Card Sunday.  December 13th is the Christmas Party. December 27th is the Birthday Jam. Extra Extra! We want to hear what you think. If you have an idea let us know. Got a concern on your mind, lay it on us. We want your experience to be fun and worry free. Inspiration Check out Nathan Burghs and Gabby Cook's performance from last year around Christmas time. Sharp, crisp, and full of style. There is a handful of great weekend workshops within a day's drive coming up in 2016, make sure that Sunflower Swing in Wichita is on that list.  Travel Opportunities: If you're looking to meet more dancers and skyrocket your skills, there's no better way than to hop in the car and find a weekend workshop.   The DecaVitas are back in Omaha Jan 9th & 10th.  Kevin St. Laurent and Jo Hoffberg in Austin, TX January 22nd-24th 2016 Rock Chalk Swing has a FANTASTIC lineup of teachers. Make sure to drive up for their event in Lawrence Feb 12th-14th. Lindyfest  in Houston, TX. March 24th-27th is a HUGE event and oodles of fun. World class instruction, fantastic live bands and a whole bunch of fun competitions to watch mixed in. Sunflower Swing in your home town. April 15-17th, the best party all year. Fabulous classes and dancing into the wee hours of the morning. Don't miss it! Favorite music This week's song is a live performance by Lionel Hampton and his band in 1958.  The concert starts out with a vibraphone solo then really starts swinging when band joins on the next song.
