Wichita Swing Dance Weekly

This Month's Classes: Breaking out of Basics taught by Evan, John, and Megan  Intro to Swing 7:30-8:00  There will be additional teachers substituting. Next Month's Classes: Intermediate Lindy Hop  Upcoming Events: June 28th is the birthday jam the Beach Party.    Extra Extra! We want to hear what you think. If you have an idea let us know. My favorite part is a move that starts around 2:10. The move only lasts a few seconds but it certainly got my attention and made me chuckle. The band that they are dancing to is The Careless Lovers. Check them out in my song of the week link.  Travel Opportunities: If you're looking to meet more dancers and skyrocket your skills, there's no better way than to hop in the car and find a weekend workshop.     Lindy on the Rocks in Denver Co, July 30th-Aug 2nd. We may even have a group of dancers going to this. They have a long list of fantastic teachers and live bands.  Cowtown Jamborama in Omaha Nebraska, Sep10th-13th. Wichita always represents well here. Great teachers, amazing friends, and fantastic live bands. Can you say Paaaarrrtaaay? Kansas City Stomp in Kansas City KS, Oct 16th-18th. This fantastic workshop weekend is only hours away. If you have never traveled for dance before, this is a great event to get your feet wet at. There will be a gaggle of familiar dancers there with you, great classes to take and hours upon hours of dancing to be had. Get a hold of Megan Pfeiffer if you want to say some cash and get in on the group rate. Favorite music This week's song is Black Coffee by The Careless Lovers. I just so happened to be feeling very similar to the character in this video this morning. Once I had my coffee, the whole day became much brighter.
