Wichita Swing Dance Weekly

This Month's Classes: West Coast Styling for Lindy Hop. Taught by John and Megan  Intro to Swing       7:30-8:00 Taught by a lovely variety of teachers.  There will be additional teachers substituting. Next Month's Classes: TBA Upcoming Events: August 30th is the birthday jam and SOUL NIGHT!!!    Extra Extra! We want to hear what you think. If you have an idea let us know. Got a concern on your mind, lay it on us. We want your experience to be fun and worry free. Homework Ok guys, this video was seriously hard for me to pick. Sharon and Juan are such a great partnership that I want to post ALL of their videos. Here is an "oldie" but good one. Since it took a while for me to find this one, I figured that I should share it to save you the time. I adore all of the fast turns that they do. If you want to learn some similar moves, the whole month of August WSDS will offer West Coast styling for Lindy Hop. Which is a drop in class at 6:30. So as long as you have taken the beginning Lindy Hop class, you may join us. Drop in is $6 for nonmembers and $8 for the 6:30 class. Travel Opportunities: If you're looking to meet more dancers and skyrocket your skills, there's no better way than to hop in the car and find a weekend workshop.     Cowtown Jamborama in Omaha Nebraska, Sep10th-13th. Wichita always represents well here. Great teachers, amazing friends, and fantastic live bands. Can you say Paaaarrrtaaay? Kansas City Stomp in Kansas City KS, Oct 16th-18th. This fantastic workshop weekend is only hours away. If you have never traveled for dance before, this is a great event to get your feet wet at. There will be a gaggle of familiar dancers there with you, great classes to take and hours upon hours of dancing to be had. Get a hold of Amy if you want to save some cash and get in on the group rate. Favorite music This week's song is  Big Fine Daddy by Lavay Smith. She is a current artist.
