The premise is that Lindy hoppers are matched with West Coast dancers and they each have a song in their own style. They often take their dance to an almost comic level. The whole month of August WSDS will offer West Coast styling for Lindy Hop. Which is a drop in class at 6:30. So as long as you have taken the beginning Lindy Hop class, you may join us. Since we have 5 Sundays this month, the pricing is a little different. If you are a member and pay for the whole month in advance you pay $25 nonmembers are $35. Drop in is still $6 for nonmembers and $8 for the 6:30 class. Lindy on the Rocks in Denver Co, July 30th-Aug 2nd. We may even have a group of dancers going to this. They have a long list of fantastic teachers and live bands. I am having so much fun here, I wish that all of you were here joining in on the fun. Wichita always represents well here. Great teachers, amazing friends, and fantastic live bands. Can you say Paaaarrrtaaay? Kansas City Stomp in Kansas City KS, Oct 16th-18th. This fantastic workshop weekend is only hours away. If you have never traveled for dance before, this is a great event to get your feet wet at. There will be a gaggle of familiar dancers there with you, great classes to take and hours upon hours of dancing to be had. The clarinetist is the leader of the band and he is actually here in Colorado right now as I type this. I enjoyed every single song that he and his specially assembled band played last night.
