Wichita Swing Dance Weekly 9/28/11

Hello dancers! 

This evening you have the opportunity to get out and dance in the basement of Harry Reese for our monthly dollar dance.  Come out and join the fun from 7-9 pm. 

This Sunday we kick off our October Series, be sure to show up early to buy your pass.  It is the first of the month; do you know what time it is?  It is dance card Sunday, there is sure to be a free pass for a few lucky folks.

Wednesday nights Blues in the Basement happens 8-10 pm at Harry Reese Dance Studio and only $5.

We are looking forward another great week of dancing.  If you are a September baby, we want to celebrate you this Sunday with a birthday dance.  Make sure you ask at the front table for your wrist band.  Mark your calendar for special dance opportunities: the Dollar Dance on September 29^th, Soul Night on October 9^th, and annual Halloween party on October 30^th. 

 

Beat the rush and buy your pass for the October Series classes this Sunday.  Here is a sample of what you will learn in Lindy 102. You may have different instructors but they are working from a syllabus to ensure no duplication of material.

Thank you for another great week of dancing. 

 

I appreciate your feedback and patience during the season of change with the lesson format.  I had a few questions this week and thought some of you might have the same questions.  Let me try to clarify the new class system. 

 

A series class means we ask you to pay for the classes up front so we have a commitment you will come.  It enables you and others the assurance that new comers don't show up in week three and set the class back to deal with one or two new individuals.  The fees for the series classes are $20 member/$30 non-member for the month.  What does that get you? The series class, drop in class, and the dance for the entire month.

We're offering Lindy Hop 101 and Partner Charleston!  You pass will get you admission to either series class at 6:30, the drop in class at 7:30, and the dance at 8, every Sunday in September!  Cost for a member pass is $20, for non-members it's $30.  Be aware, you can't join the series part way through the month.  For those that have time conflicts and unable to attend the series class, show up at 7:30 for the drop in class and the dance for the normal $4/$6!
