Wichita Swing Dance Weekly

Hello dancers! 

 

We are looking forward another great week of dancing.  If you are a September baby, we want to celebrate you this Sunday with a birthday dance.  Make sure you ask at the front table for your wrist band.  Mark your calendar for special dance opportunities: the Dollar Dance on September 29^th, Soul Night on October 9^th, and annual Halloween party on October 30^th. 

 

Beat the rush and buy your pass for the October Series classes this Sunday.  Here is a sample of what you will learn in Lindy 102. You may have different instructors but they are working from a syllabus to ensure no duplication of material.

Upstairs

6:30 - 7:30 Lindy Hop 102 (series)

7:30 - 8:00 Beginning Swing –East Coast Swing (drop in)

Downstairs
6:30 - 7:30 Shag (series)

 

 

SUNDAY CLASSES

6:30 - 7:30 Lindy Hop/ Partner Charleston (series)*

*As a reminder if you did not start the series you will be unable to join midway through the month.

 

7:30 - 8:00 Beginning Swing –East Coast Swing (drop in)

Please join us at 7:30 pm. for the drop in class and the dance for the normal $4/$6!

OTHER CLASSES
Monday nights the Lindy Bombers meet at Morningstar Community Church with classes for intermediate and advanced levels.   Class starts at 7:30, taster class at 8:30.  This months taster is Al & Leon Shim Sham with a side of chicken sandwich!  Check out www.lindybombers.com for details!

Wednesday nights has a new option.  If you liked what you learned in the taster class last month (Blues) you are in luck.  Blues in the Basement happens 8-10 pm at Harry Reese Dance Studio and only $5.
