Hello dancers! 

 

Thank you for another great week of dancing. 

 

I appreciate your feedback and patience during the season of change with the lesson format.  I had a few questions this week and thought some of you might have the same questions.  Let me try to clarify the new class system. 

 

A series class means we ask you to pay for the classes up front so we have a commitment you will come.  It enables you and others the assurance that new comers don't show up in week three and set the class back to deal with one or two new individuals.  The fees for the series classes are $20 member/$30 non-member for the month.  What does that get you? The series class, drop in class, and the dance for the entire month.  

 

SUNDAY CLASSES

6:30 - 7:30 Lindy Hop 101 & Partner Charleston (series)*
7:30 - 8:00 Beginning Swing –East Coast Swing (drop in)

 

*As a reminder if you did not start the series you will be unable to join midway through the month. 

 

Please join us at 7:30 pm. for the drop in class and the dance for the normal $4/$6!

 

October Series classes go on sale this Sunday.  Don't worry, if you didn't take Lindy 101 you can sign up for Lindy 102.  Here is a sample of what you will learn next month in Lindy 102.  In the future, we will show one clip of what is being taught for the month.  There might be different instructors each week but they are working from a syllabus to ensure no duplication of material.

Upstairs

6:30 - 7:30 Lindy Hop 102 (series)

7:30 - 8:00 Beginning Swing –East Coast Swing (drop in)

Downstairs
6:30 - 7:30 Shag (series)

OTHER CLASSES
Monday nights the Lindy Bombers meet at Morningstar Community Church with classes for intermediate and advanced levels.   Class starts at 7:30, taster class at 8:30.  This months taster is Al & Leon Shim Sham with a side of chicken sandwich!  If you are interested in being part of the Lindy Bomber dance team, auditions are on September 19^th.   Check out www.lindybombers.com for details!

Wednesday nights has a new option.  If you liked what you learned in the taster class last month (Blues) you are in luck.  Blues in the Basement happens 8-10 pm at Harry Reese Dance Studio and only $5.
