WANTED: Sunflower Swing Hosts

A message from Evan Borst, or Captain Sunflower Swing:

A significant concern in today's increasingly industrialized world is maintaining the natural habitat for countless species.  The Wichita dance community has an opportunity to directly address this problem for one particular species:  The Traveling Dancer.

*Dramatization
Unlike other varieties of Dancer, the Traveling Dancer is a nomad, habitually migrating from dance event to dance event.  Upon arrival at each location, the dancer must find a temporary home before it moves on again.  Traveling Dancers are friendly,  gracious, and enthusiastic about dance by nature.  They come in all shapes and sizes, and with varied levels of independence.  They range from small pack animals that are capable of transporting themselves to stoic individuals which seek to form a symbiotic relationship with indigenous dancers at each new event they attend.

When Traveling Dancers are unable to find a suitable home they must resort to less ideal options, like hotels, park benches, and cars.  These options are universally bad for all varieties of the Traveling Dancer.

We are expecting an influx of Traveling Dancers to our town the weekend of April 25-27, 2014.  This is anticipated to correlate with the dance event "Sunflower Swing".  WE NEED YOUR HELP TO ENSURE SUFFICIENT HABITAT FOR THIS POPULATION.

If you're interested in volunteering your residence for habitat, here is what MUST be available:

*A place to sleep (floor, couch, futon, bed, ANYTHING)

*A place to bathe (Traveling Dancers by virtue of their behavior can be quite smelly if not granted access to a shower)

That's it!  If you can provide habitat for groups, or transportation, or anything else, it's a welcome bonus.  Traveling Dancers are all housebroken, and known for displays of gratitude and affection to hosts.  If you're interested in joining the fight to maintain the habitat for Traveling Dancers in our town, please speak with Ava Johnston, or send an email describing the capabilities of your habitat to sunflowerswing@gmail.com

Thank You!
